Sounds like the weather reports are going to be in the 70's still by the coast and that's pretty inspiring to get out and do one more ocean trip for me this year.  Lord knows I need some peace on the water to clear my head this weekend too.

So, where to go?  Been wanting to get out and try for some crabbing, but really only know HMB as a spot to launch for em.  Would love to get some nice rock fish too while I'm at it.  Just not sure I want to doge wake all day trying to get out to drop the pots.

Saw some hookups for the Fort and that sounds pretty fun, but a bit far for a day trip for me.  Guess it will be a maybe then unless I seek out some accommodations.

Maybe Pebble Beach/Stillwater Cove?  Cant deny it, just love fishing this place!  Easy enough for me for a day trip, great place for a BBQ!

Guess I could also just head over to Capitola, since its the easiest and most convenient for me. But not sure if the fishing is any good since there haven't been many reports out there.

Where oh where to go...

I had a decent day of catching at Stillwater on Tuesday. The fish seemed to prefer iron over plastics fyi. I'd normally join you but I'll be in Santa Barbara this wknd. Good luck wherever you go!

I was thinking of going out Sunday, Monterey or Santa Cruz area. If you don't mind having a newbie along let me know I would love a chance at some fish before the end of the season. I have never tried Stillwater that looks like a great place to fish.

Stillwater on Saturday sounds awful tempting. Keep us posted on your final answer. And I'll pay attention to the let's go fishing radio show tonight to see if any SC/Capitola reports are made.
Cheers!

Watch out for the west swell at Stillwater, it usually turns the cove into a washing machine.  Good luck!

So, concensous seems to be Sat. Stillwater Cove!

Jay_D, you need directions or anything, please let me know.  Your more than welcome to join, specially if you bring beer!

Andy, MG, I'll get something together for a bbq!  Was thinking chicken, but ya got that covered, so I may get some tri-tip or something to marinate.  I'll pickup some beer as well.

See ya all there

I'm coming from Aptos if anyone wants to come along, got room in the truck for another yak and gear.

Thanks for the invite but Saturdays are work days for me. My schedule should be changing soon so I'll have Saturdays off in a short time. I'll stay glued to the forums looking for more hookups in the future. Good luck to you guys tommorow.

I'll bring the beer next time.
