no, but there is a hostel at the Pigion Point State park (like a dorm for a nite)
closest (legit) camping spot is HMB state park(20 min. north of Bean)

Butano State Park campgrounds are nearby, but I haven't checked availability.

Anybody going out on Sunday? I can join the Saturday night festivities and plan to fish Sunday morning.

There is a car camping spot just South of the Pigeon Point launch site. It's on the bluff facing the ocean as you look to your left when launching. It's really not an official camp site but I have seen some weekenders parking there.
* Note, if you plan to spend the night there please remember to clean up your site before you leave - so we can continue to camp there with no objections from the Park Rangers. Thanks! (I have seen idiots leave toilet paper along the bushes :smt011)

the car spot is in the park area, RIGHT?!  not on the highway.

if we can stay in the bean lot, that's where we'll be(my prefference)

Don't forget that during the day Highway 92 is going to be a parking lot due to the pumpkin hunting critters getting their mojo ready for Halloween.

I'll be looking for the "usual suspects" :smt044
Hopefully the weather will favor the shirking of responsibility.

You guys got room for a newbie (only 3 launches under my belt) but love to join you if the launch isn't too crazy on Sunday morning?
I wouldn't go so far as to call a lingcod filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a lingcod's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Hey Capt, the nice thing about "Area 51" (Pigeon Point to Bean Hollow) is that there is always a plan B. If Beah Hollow is "BIG" as in "Big Surf"...then you can always launch out of Pigeon Point's protective launch/land site. There is productive fishing between the two launch spots  :smt002

And yes, you are more than welcome to join us - safety and fun in numbers brother :smt023

Yakattack---ya gotta use the marine forecast-  here's what it says currently:

SAT
NW WINDS 5 TO 15 KT. WIND WAVES 1 TO 3 FT. NW SWELL 5 TO 6
FT AT 10 SECONDS AND S 2 FT AT 14 SECONDS. PATCHY FOG.

SAT NIGHT
NW WINDS 10 TO 20 KT. WIND WAVES 2 TO 4 FT. NW SWELL
5 FT AND S 2 FT. PATCHY FOG.

SUN
NW WINDS 10 TO 20 KT. WIND WAVES 2 TO 4 FT. NW SWELL 5 TO
6 FT. S SWELL 2 FT. PATCHY FOG.

And, finally with a forecast like this, it boils down to using your eyes on the spot.  NW 5-6 ft translates to maybe 3-4 ft waves on the beach usually.  Mixed with a S swell it can mean a bumpy ocean.  If the wind really blows 10-20 on Saturday night, and is forecast for 10-20 on Sunday daytime, it might be chop city.

I'm still going to try to get out on Sunday myself, hope we can fish together this wekend.  point is the NOAA "non-marine" forecast is not related to what's up at the Ocean.
