And yes, you are more than welcome to join us - safety and fun in numbers brother :smt023

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'll be at the Bean at 7 a.m., if not sooner, on Sunday.
I wouldn't go so far as to call a lingcod filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a lingcod's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I couldn't make Saturday or Sunday, so I hit the Bean this morning. Easy launch, slight wind chop which actually lessened through the morning. No fog this AM.

Fishing was never wide open, but quality fish are there if you put in the time. I came home with a cabbie, a 27" ling, and a ginormous black. The cabbie had a crab and a couple of  octopus in his gut, makes me wonder how you'd do targeting them with little octopi (from 99 Ranch?)

Fish were on Fishtraps, and a small Gulp swimbait, which looked great in the water, but didn't have enough mass to fish deeper than about 20 feet. I think I should try trolling that guy behind a larger weight some time, cover some ground.

Hope you all find some sweet conditions there this weekend, and some good times!

Paul
