Hmmm..... which is worse, the bean or LK? I think LK is a bit sneakier. and it has that gravel that sprays everywhere. ok scott, you can hold onto your title... for now!  :smt010

IMO, LK would be worse...just imagine if things went REALLY BAD and you needed to get to the nearest hospital ASAP.....it'll be a Loooong painful ride  :smt011

At my age, I certainly don't want to get injured and with preparation and common sense, the risk is low. I do wear a helmet when landing near rocks or in big surf. I also carry an EPIRB. All that said, an occaisional wipe out is just part of the sport and is one of the things the differentiates our sport from other types of fishing. So much of life is predictable and routine but kayak fishing is not. Like Freddie, there is some enjoyment from kayak surfing even when you wipe out. At least it provides some entertainment for others. I vote for BH because if you go swimming there you may have some company.

I think the same "company" makes some visits LK way too, since I always see a few solid sized sealions there, predators probably make a few forays in there from time to time,  :smt009

Yeah... there were some sealions that were literally jumping out of the water at the Bean. It looked as if they were trying to jump up on the rocks at the Northern part of the cove. Even when huge swells were crashing on it. I just told myself that they were just playing around but in the back of my mind... I was thinking that they see something that I wasn't seeing...

That is a Krazy lookin shot!...."TheHeightOfYourMadness"
seeing the different levels/lines in the face, tells me the beach is very steep and all that water(being drawn down the shore)...it's getting pushed from above and the water that is draining from the steep beach, has no where to go, but to join the wave! and those are the burbels that you see.
Moral of Story=??! ....at least you're SMILING!
