WOW!  Awesome trip and thanks Adam, Allen and Eric for all the great reports with photos and another epic AbKing Video.

The biggest shocker was these two pictures.  I never expected the Legendary FisHunter to be on a yak without a knife in his mouth and to see him cooking just didn't fit the online reputation I've come to know. :dontknow:

Thank again guys, no better way to close out the season, well done!

....it's now Saturday and the winds are kicking in. We get out early, but it's a combo-wombo swell with a stiff north wind. I followed the leader for a while, but couldn't find any participants. I did get one small black that was passed to a friend in need.
Feeling the winds getting stonger, I opt. for another Cab-hunt in the rocky areas outside of the launch. Did not get a single hit, but turned the time into a photo taking session of this washrocks beauty.

pic1~ Allen getting fresh again...NO H.M.!

pic2~ Following the leader

pic3~ the peak of the swell

.....I came in to get a head start on packing up camp (i was scared and tired of not catching anything) Allen & YP were soon to follow as we packed up and headed north.

trip capper~ I never thought we'd even get to fish 1 day due to crappy WX's...we fished ALL THREE and had a blast doing it!
Eric is just like he is while engaging in site-communicado!...a real class act I would follow to war with!

oh...and that BananaSuperstitionBS has been put to rest also on this trip.....The peel was dropped down on a jig(see pic in post) and caught a BigGoldenTicket, that was set down and lost to a BigMysteryFish...TWICE!

Can we go back now?   please?...

Even though it was REAL nasty out there, the cove still showed its beauty.  Can't even begin to describe how much fun it was "adventuring" with Dad, Adam, and our boy from the north Eric.

Took my first involuntary dip in the pool on Thursday.  We were on our way in and cutting across the swell which was now randomly breaking around us.  Every so often I would see a break forming and would have to quickly turn into it and catch air off the top or bust through whitewater.  Unfortunately I missed one... and it was the biggest wave I had seen all day. I turned to see a wall of water within arms reach off to my left towering above me.  The wave broke on my left shoulder and crushed me with whitewater and rolled me over to my right.  I wasn't in the water for more than 5 seconds before I had righted my kayak, and it took about 3 more seconds for me to be back in the seat.  My head never got wet.  I looked around at bait floating all around me as well as my paddle leash (doh!), but luckily somehow I had grabbed my paddle while I was still in the water.  Reeled in all the leashes and happily saw my possesions back in stock.  Dad raced over and helped me retrieve the bags of bait and my club.  No fun, and it definitely had me shell-shocked the next day on the ocean.

Fishing was RED HOT!!!, I missed a ton of fish, huge take-downs and runs and then nothing.  The number of lings around there is amazing.  If you didn't get hit in the first minute just move a little and BANG!  Following Eric's lead I went with the solo monster leadhead, and it was the ticket for constant ling love.

I really can't say enough how great the company was, It was great to finally meet Eric and see a little of what he gets to see.  Adam as always was a blast to be around.  And drive time with Dad is always good for some great stories from past adventures.

-Patrick
