Solid work all around, but especially Eric, for another fantastic video.  That is hardcore staying up to edit video and post a report after such a long day.  Hats off for sure.  Put me in the group that would have blown chunks within minutes of launch.  Hopefully in due time, with the help of medicine, I can build a stomach that can handle that type of environment.

I REALLY wanted to go on this trip. The videos and all the camaraderie made me realize how much better off I was staying at home and sanding concrete!!  :smt013 :smt013 :smt013 :smt010
Once again fantastic videos Eric.
What I want to know is what Adam used to avoid getting sick out there.
I love seeing kayaks out in the big bumps. Looks so hardcore!!
Thanks again for sharing what I missed out on. Now back to sanding. :smt013  :smt075  :smt010

Met Allen, Patric, and Adam in the camp ground as they're packing to go to the river.  The wind was blowing hard as we're trying to help a camper to lower the patio before it cause more damage due to the strong wind.  I'd love to tack along with them to the river but decided to help my friend in the cove to fix his laptop with a bad hard drive. Thank you Allen for the fillets and hope to fish with you guys next time.
I fished from shore and hoping for better condition but the wind did not let off and no love from the perch either  :smt010.  Got up early in the morning and went down the launch ramp to check-out the wind and it's still bad so I decided to head back early and come back another day.

I'm back to the real world and it sucks, compared to being up in the real country.
It was TOO much FUN!.....after watching AbkingFishPorn for two years, then FINALLY getting up there to fish and meet the guy was like he said, "meeting old buddies" he's a good man and a blast to be around, like anutha brutha from a different mutha!
The Dynamic-Duo is just that.....traveling with these two is not only fun, but an ADVENTURE at every turn. We laughed, we cried and we never let up!.....even when the bathrooms and the burning wood smelled the same, like piss.  :smt003

I've got lots of pics and port'n to do, along with my real work(thatNOoneDOESdurringMYabsence!) :smt013

a few pics to start it up....maybe finishing by wednesday!

pic1~meeting up in Cotati at 6:oo sharp

pic2~ after 4hours of window time, we fianlly get to the ShelterCove turn-off(only another HOUR to go!) :smt010

pic3~ after getting a campsite up on the hill (lady said it was reading 98deg.)
we get down to the water by 11:30 and it was blowin hard outside but nice inside the protected cliffs.Did i mention it was HOT! like in Baja HOT!
.......lots more to come, stay tuned.

Mike~ Scopace in the pill form!....it works miracles :smt002

and then.....
we get out in the HOT BLAST. I did not wear booties or spray/wind jacket and paid for it when I got outside of the furnace and into the coastal influenced winds. I got wet as the water slapped against he yak. Very uncomfortable and now, COLD as heck!

pic1~ the sweet, calm, green waters of the coastal edge

pic2~ roughness&wind driven nastyness outside

after seeing a few waves break, out in areas where no shallow reef was, I thought to myself,"so that's what they mean by SmallCraftAdvisories!"
You could be bouncing around in the swell and all of a sudden out of nowhere comes a REAL BREAKING WAVE, that could knock you off or even worse....seperate you away from your yak. I opted to go back to the inside of the warm cozy feeling zone and jig'd up awhole-lotta-nada in the 30-40ft. depth.
The D-Duo were keeping me updated on the fish they were hooking, but I did not GO back......I even had to hail a boat on the VHF for advice on the "best way" to return to launch rout., I heard him talking on the radio telling his wife, "it's bad out here and i'm headed in, can you meet me down at the ramp to pick me up,I'm ALMOST there!"........I'm seeing nothing but the backside of breakers hitting the route i took out.....I look around and can't see this guy anywhere, then I look WAY inside along the shoreline and there he is.....I am WAY the FRICK out there and the drift was pulling me further out and north = NOT GOOD!
I paddle my ASS OFF towards an area we saw surfers catching waves on the beach. After a few heart-in-throat moments, I made it back inside and waited for those TWOwild&CRAZYguys to come in.

Quote from "FisHunter"
"I'm back to the real world and it sucks, compared to being up in the real country."

I took a couple of hundred photos and stored many more mental images but none compare to AbKing's videos and pictures.
Adam!.....Adam!.....Adam! (you had to have been there) has launched even further into the mental and digital images with his stories and pictures.
As for myself after fishing eight out of the last eleven days.... specifics are a little fuzzy.........gotta start taking notes.

Pictures and post to follow as interruptions (work) will not give me a break....

Thank You Adam, Eric and Patrick for a Great Adventure..........More to Follow........
