Mooch... I really wish I could join you... but the in-laws are in town this weekend.  I might try to convince everyone that my father in law and I should sneak up to Fort Ross in the AM to get some fresh Abs... but no guarantee there.

What time are you going to get there do you think (just in case).

Mooch,

I'll check on the WAF, but Ft. Ross is a short drive for me and I still need to do my inaugural comparison between Cobra and OK kayaks :smt003.

I'll see if I can russel up interest from some of the others from Bodega Bay Crew to join me.

Joel,
You guys might want to leave earlier than 7. Its a long drive and there will be less cars on the road if you leave at 4 or 5 am.

I usually leave here about 2am and get there a little after 5am. I like to watch the sun rise from the launch. Be sure to have a $5.00 bill to pay at the gate, There won't be anyone at the gate to make change for you. You can drive all the way past the fort and down to the right to the launch area. You can only unload down there, then you have to park back up on top and walk back down. (There is a trail thru the trees and down the side of the hill, don't walk the road the whole way). The walk to the beach is only about 100 yards. Back up to the gate drop everything off, and take your truck back to the top. Wish I could join you its a great place.

You might want to bring $6.  I think that's what it cost me last time I was there but I might be wrong.

I'll be running up with my dad on sunday.  Fishing stllwater though, free parking and no hill.  Not to mention bored of the fort after a bunch of times in a row.  Abalone, and maybe some spearfishing is in the cards.  Maybe even a bit of scuba diving if the wife and another friend come along.

I WOULD leave earlier but I'm just hitching a ride from Lee. He's the one who planned the trip.
