Can't say enough good things about Ariel and Rack Solid.
Before heading over to set up Mooch, he met me in Dublin so I could pick up my hitch and rack.
I bet he put quite a few miles on that day LOL!!!
I saw Joels aero bars and so wanted to upgrade, but didn't want to have Mooch after me with his AR ;0)
Thanks Ariel,
Best costomer service anywhere!!!

this was how i used to roll....i miss my TRD toy (2000) and my ghetto rack system :smt001

*if had to do it again, I would have gotten a thule bar instead of a lumber bar - those things rust and very un-aero-dynamic  :smt011 IMO: too over kill just to carry a kayak or two.

Saw this product the other day and looked pretty sweet, and maybe a good option for you guys with pick up trucks and without racks...

nice but you still need to buy and install a hitch to use it (I was too cheap to get one at the time, instead I saved up for a camper shell and a lumber rack...eventually)

same here love it...only went to mechanic because i was too lazy/busy to replace a belt pully...had him check it over and oil and inspection to justify it...800 dollars 6 yrs ago...the beater work truck civic...homemade racks holds two fish-n-dive cobra kayaks and all the gear... 190,000 and running like a champ 20  bucks a week tops... and go anywhere...never one problem!!! pictures of the beast later tonight
'91 Civic w/ about 198,000 miles on her. Only seen the mechanic twice. A true champ!!

the beater itself...work horse for yrs now....beat on it ...load it with ten 60 lb cements and stuff...16 2x10's everything water heaters tied to the roof.....it doubles as a cut table ...scratched...dented...leans on one side...runs like a champ and never ever left me stranded...stick shift.... homemade racks and eye bolts out the trunk for longer loads.....you should see the looks i get....smiles always.... :smt003
cheers

I finally got my yakima rack on my canopy now that the fishing slowed down a little bit. I just have  to get my saddles set up and i will be good to go! My rig is a 2003 tacoma with all the goodies and the canopy set up to sleep in for those over nighters out of town or hunting. I just need to get my bumpers and rocks sliders so i can go hit the high mountain lakes that have been calling my name  :smt003

Looks good jmox. I was going to buy a saddle for my kayak too but after speaking with some members, I was told I really did not needed it. They say it is best to just strap the yak upside down like you have it. Lest wind drag = less stopping for gas. Looking forward to your fishing report.
