Hey Joel, didn't you get the memo.  Those lures only work with the new Shimano Tescata rod and the new Shimano Calcutta TE 400LJV reel.  It's a system.

The trick is to un-plug your self form that specific system of control....(The Matrix)

I have a feeling Mooch will go for a swim to retrieve his 'magic' lure if he snags up.

Well, the Lucanus jigs are less expensive than their Butterfly jigs. In that they actually come with hooks.

So Joel...how much did you pay for it?

You don't quit playing because you get old, you get old because you quit playing...

Moochy... sorry to do this... but have you seen the reasonably priced knock offs from Braid?  Think the fish would know the difference?

I use the Braid Sea Fox and I think it is a better jig all around, IMO and costs less and has better hooks.

my thoughts exactly....I'll be fishing with my dive gear and at the 20 foot depth so I can do a rescue dive if I have to :smt002 Perhaps I can fish next to Fuzz if I plan on fishing in deeper water :smt003

expensive or inexpensive, knock-off or not....I WILL WIN THE ELK DERBY WITH THIS BAD BOY AND EVERYONE WILL REJOICE :groupwave

those hooks are too small.  you have to replace them if you are fishing for rock fish or lings.

at least that is my input after watching sc x factor get a lot of hits on his, but not a lot of hookups.

I have to agree. I had numerous fish give a good take down only to come up with nada. On the bright side they hook gophers really well, so many I had to take it off. Luckily I didn't go for the whole system. I may borrow the system from someone who did go all out and try it to see if it makes a difference.
