santa cruz 7/14 4 rockfish

     Fished the afternoon out in front of the harbor in 40 feet. Wanted a halibut real bad
but only got three brown and a black rockfish. Was just using fishtraps tho.
       Better than a couple weeks ago when I caught my first legal salmon while trolling a hoochie half way in from the mile marker, about 28". An illegal legal I guess.

!!!Dude!!! That is a bittersweet catch. Nice size salmon form the yak and you gotta let it go. Bummer. But still a very cool catch.
