Leaving myself wide open for this one...

Had a few hours this AM so thought I would see if those swimbaits I found were up to a repeat,

Trouched around for 2 hours for nothing, then on the way in " Clunk!!! ",  Hit like A Freight Train!!!

Thought I had a Monster, especially on the Revo with light rod... Lots of Fun, took several runs,

Bring the 24 1/2" Butt into the Yak, and While I'm reaching to the Back for my Hawg Trough....

" Ouch!!! ", Honoree Hus Flips up and Bit me on the BeHind!!!!..  :smt106

Had a Good Laugh on that one,  :smt089

And then proceded to Give Him "The Canadian Fish Bonker Treatment " :smt075

Only Hit I had all day, Butt, sure felt good to have a Repeat Score on Swimbaits,

3 fish on 1 swimbait and it looks just as good as when I started with it....

Love this area to fish, so easy, mellow, one word of caution...

got to keep your eyes open for the Massive ships that plow thru here , and Tugs with Huge Wakes...

Talked to HolyToledo and Otobepelgic on 69, they were over in Berkeley, I presume with live bait..

They reported a few shakers, sharks and Rays,  Hope they eventually came up with Dinner...

off to make Mango Salsa, and find some disinfectant!!!! :smt010........ :smt006

I'm not familiar with that location. Where is the launch?

Don,

Great post with an interesting "ending"...LOL.  With your attack butt in mind I'm thinking about ChuckE's pic/post with butt fangs inches away from his crotch.

Way to take advantage of your fishing window and good to know that the butts are still around after all the fishing pressure.

Nice job Danglin!

Are you just trolling that 'chovie? no additional weight or anything?

Just hooked to a swivel as to give a little le way for halibutt teeth,

Drifting, bouncing it off the bottom

Strong work Don! Looks like you made the right call last night and left us with the shorties.

On the way out I met the guy who found your fishing licence on the ramp at Berkeley, he said he got a really nice letter from you... way to represent!

Nice fish. I guess there's worse places to get bit than on your ass!

In Loving Memory of Mooch, Eelmaster, Shicken, and Cabeza De Martillo

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

For now on, I'm Going to make sure the Hali's are Pointed Away from " The Jewels "... :smt002

For as Dead as I thought this Point Richmond area was, I'm really rethinking that...

There are many dynamic bottom surfaces in a square mile around there,

and you really don't see much PB traffic ( Fishing I mean, Lot's of Working boats ) in the area....

 Fun, Easy launch Too......... :smt004

Don, Know what you mean about keeping the business end of the halibut pointed away from valued appendages. The first but I landed this year grabbed my thumb and drew some pretty good blood. One year in Alaska our skipper took a huge circle hook in the hand while removing a hook...that fish took a real beating.
We should have hooked up with you at your launch as the sailboats at Berkeley are getting real obnoxious. At one point Patrick could have reached out and touched one boat as it passed under power.
Not sure what was up with the radios........we could hear you but we guessed you could not hear us at first. Congrats on the halibut. Allen
