NW WINDS 20 TO 30 KT. WIND WAVES 4 TO 7 FT.
NW SWELL 10 TO 12 FT.

Bummer

Just got mu new fishfinder installed today and was really looking forward to this trip.
Anywhere safe?

The weather looks the same from sf bay to big sur.

Any lake fishing around that's at least worth a paddle?

Well, I am still going to do a recon tomorrow to MBK and Elkhorn Slough.  Wont be till the afternoon, but will get to see how hard its blowing out there tomorrow.  If there is a chance for a run and gun before conditions worsen, I think I would give Capitola a try, or head inland to Lake Del Valle.  Could also try Capitola  and if blown out, head to  pinto lake or Loch Lomond.  LL has great picnick areas and great scenery, but trout doesn't sound as good as LING for dinner :)

Stillwater should still be fine this Sunday...I'll be there unless things get a lot worse than they look now.  :smt004

Most of the usual spots in Mbay will be fine on Sunday morning. The current forecast for Sunday is fine. Almost the exact same forecast as 2 weeks ago when a bunch of us went to Stillwater (although a few did chum so take meds).
.SUN...W WINDS 5 TO 15 KT. WIND WAVES 2 FT OR LESS.  NW SWELL 5 TO 9 FT.

Here's a cool interactive weather map: http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/mtr/ Click on the area you want a forecast for.

Heh, well cool!  I will still plan on hitting Carmel with all you guys then!  Gonna marinate some tri-tip too!  Just finished working on my floating camera mount  :smt003 And some nice sized swells would actually be cool to test it out for some vids!

Let's stick to the game plan :director: Early launch should allow for a few good hours of fishing. You can always head into the cove and fish if it get too rough. Looking at the conditions this morning, I think we'll be good to go :smt002. I'll be there about 06:30.

Just got back from MBK to check out the water conditions. Very nice  :smt003 . If Sunday is supposed to be better than today, then we are going to have a good time tomorrow. Lots of Kayaks out in the bay and along Cannery Row. Bring Sun Screen :smt004

Back from my "sort of" recon trip.  Didn't make it out to MBK since I couldn't get my dad to leave grandmas house  :smt010  But did a swing by Moss and EHS.  Looked pretty bad out there, but I know its worlds away from Carmel and it was around 5PM which is usually bad anyway from what I hear.  Weather in Salinas was great thought ;)

Now its time to get packing!
