I can hardly sleep!  Heading out for baja this Satuday the 31st, not going to be back in the US until the 26th or 27th of June. Four full weeks in yak fishing heaven.  My traveling companions are 1st tier too. Mahi, Hydrospider, Seahunter, Zilla and even good old Jelly couldn't pass up this trip.  Zilla blind and angry blue healer will be running security  :smt003  We'll be caravaning in 3 Tacomas that will lilely never be quite the same.

We will be hopping down the coast for the first 13 days, hitting some Pacific side spots looking for WSB and yellows, as well as hitting some mid Cortez spots looking for pargo and cabrilla.  Then we arrive at Rancho Leonero for the next 10 days.  Once there we'll be joined by the rest of my family, ChuckE, and long-time NCKA'r Bob Neal.  At the Ranch we'll be hunting for dodos, tuna, roosters and amberjacks...this trip is going to RULE!

We are bringing lots of tackle, lots of memory cards and lots of video gear. If your trying to get ahold of me, just leave an email and I'll try to get to it along the way.

Adios NCKA!

Sean,
Make sure you take a pic of all the different species of fish you catch or encounter, even bait fish.  Can't wait to hear about it, I'll make the 2nd annual.  Have fun.

Sean -

My son and I will be driving over from Cabo on 6/22 for a day of fishing and some cervesa. Hope to see you on the water. Will probably arrive around 7 AM.

That sounds like a great time, Sean.  Cool that you're getting the teenage young man to go - good job on that.

Good luck, be safe, enjoy, appreciate...  and take lots of pics, Bro!   :smt003

Man i am jealous. i hope you guys bring snorkeling gear to. when the fishin is slow, you can dive for clams. look for the little bubbles coming out of the sand and dive down,scoop-up the sand and you will have clams. steam in white wine, garlic, jalepeno and cilantro. good-luck, be safe but not too safe.

oh yeah, i forgot, if you bring lobster pots, you could probably get some lobster on the pacific side. the clams i got were on the gulf side. last time i was there 15yrs ago. i bought some lobster pots made of cardon cactus that worked quite well.

Thanks Mike!!

True, lobsters are off limits for gringos, but we are renting a house for a few days from a local commercial lobster fisherman...I think he can hook us up. I might have to sneak a few clams though  :smt003
