Is Bodega Bay particularly bad for GWS?

Well,  Not to be a alarmest

But, Tomalas Head has the most GWS Attacks in the World

Just out of the mouth of Bodega Harbor there is Seal Island,  one would think it's a favorite haunt for The LandLord,  so not to jack this thread,  here is a GWS thread that would be good read... :smt006

bill attached says it CALM right now@5pm down there.
I have caught glassy surf south of HMB and then drove through Pacifica to get home and other surfers said it was blowin ALL morning.
Moral of story?....don't know unless you go!
I'll be packing my fishin/wave riding stuff to cover both.
SeeYA'there!

if you newbies want to go and check it...it does not mean you have to go into the water.....I've tucked-tail many time!

Might not make sense for me to drive to Bean for a washout.  We'll see, but I might do something else.  It's a tossup between largeemouth hunting and buying my first fly rig.  Neither of those options suck, though.

Who knows, the truck's loaded, you'all might see me down there.

To everyone,

Save Your Gas Money.  Or, if your going to the Elk Fiesta for the first time this year, these conditions will give you a little taste of what that's like.  :smt003

because I have nothing else better to do (until a 5PM wedding to attend to), my plan is:

Plan A: drive to the "Hollow" and see FOR MYSELF is the conditions are favorable. If not.....

Plan B: drive another 5 miles to Pigeon Point - if the winds are managable, I'll try fishing North of the Point (about half way to the Hollow) but if the wind is still a factor....

PLan C: drive to Half Moon Bay - protected launch, easy and short paddle to the green can and fish the area between the can and the jetty....but if it's still crappy out there....

Plan D: head over to Linda Mar and hit L&L Hawaiian BBQ and eat my sorrows away  :smt002 (and perhaps break out my surf rod and cast around for stripers)

Company welcome :smt001
