Rockfish; anywhere, Monday 26th

Alright then, I am poised to make my maiden voyage on the open ocean. I want rockfish, so anywhere south of Pigeon Point I guess?

Anyone?

I see lots of hookups that look like they might be in the right area but, er, I don't know where they are. Plus it sounds like a lot of you folks are going out after halibut? (I have a freezer full of that!).

Did you find a hook-up? I will probably go fishing tomorrow (monday) but I don't know how much farther south than pigeon point I want to drive.

Conditions look like they will be pretty mild.

I might hook up with you Monday at Coral St.  Never fished there but I've always wanted to, and after John's Crapitola report I've nixed my plans to go for halibut and have decided on a rockfish attempt instead.  With the price of gas being what it is I can't see driving all the way from Sunnyvale for nada. 

I'm going to try to arrive between 6-6:30...catch you on the water if you get there first.  Ch. 69 for any other takers.

Codrado and myself will be amongst the dozen or so that are always around the kelp beds out of Capitola.

We plan on meeting at the Cap pier at 5:30 Monday. You are welcome to join if you like.

I am planning on one setup for Butts, if the water clears and the other setup for rockfish.
