Memorial day weekend?

Im being cut loose for the weekend, dont know where to go, I want rockfish/ling. Who's going where?

Camping and fishing at lake Del Valle Fri-Mon!  Yeah, I would rather be chasing lings, but this should be fun too

I'm hoping to get out here around Santa Cruz, probably Sunday or Monday.

Rumor is that the wind might lay down (its been snorting for the last 2 days).

If the fishing won't happen I guess I'll finish my fish cleaning table to generate some mojo.

The wind has been blowing like a tornado the past couple days in Monterey. But the NOAA forecast for Sun+Monday (inside Monterey Bay) has improved dramatically.
.SUN...W WINDS 5 TO 10 KT. WIND WAVES 1 TO 2 FT. NW SWELL 2 TO 5 FT.
.MEMORIAL DAY...SW WINDS 5 TO 10 KT...BECOMING W. WIND WAVES 1 TO 2 FT. NW SWELL 1 TO 3 FT.

Yeah, the swell & wind forecasts look OK for the weekend. I think Saturday will be a "scope" day.

Man, This gas prices are killing me  All the good fishing spots are far away from San Lorenzo.
The next house I buy will be at the 17 Mile Drive right next to the water   ( in my dreams )

We will be going out of Capitola either saturday or sunday, just gonna troll around the kelp and try for some and butts.

Codrado just email'd me to get it setup we're going one of those days.

The winds are expected to be 5 to 15 kts, wind waves 1 to 3 feet, swells of 5 to 8 feet.
