Anyone down for a weekdayer @ Limekiln? Thursday? Friday? or possibly even Sat?  The sooner the better?

Will split gas from Cambria, or meet you there.

Saturday probably works for me, just need to confirm My Waf balance, but it should be a go.  Do you need beach wheels for LK?

Wheels to get the yak 110 yards from the parking area to the beach. Another person to help you carry your rigged yak over the 10 yard boulder field.  :smt013 30 yard drag on the sand to the launch. The worst part is doing the return trip after paddling 6 miles and with 50 # of fish in you yak.  :smt005 Parking is $6. pm me if you need the gate combo. See you there!

I've always launched from mill creek over limekiln.  I'll take a friskier surf over a 3 mile paddle - within reason.  Should at least check it out first to see if it's do-able.  Parking is free and there aren't a-hole rangers about.

Josh -

LK is closer to the hot spot early in the season, from Mill it would be 4 miles one way. Later in the season I switch to Mill Creek.

LK has showers and proper bathrooms.  Mill creek only has those Viet Cong style outhouse toilets and no running water.

I thought the Park Ranger was courteous, if only marginally incompetent.  I was hoping Great Bass 2 would report on how the ranger was scratching his head when trying to identify the different species we caught last week.  Total confusion and dismay.  But the staff we ran into certainly weren't a$$holes, seemed pretty nice actually.  Hope it stays that way.

Looks like the weather is starting to lay down. Forecast is 5-15. The immediate Big Sur report is for calm winds. Starting to look like a good day. A three mile paddle is just enough to get a little exercise. Is there a plan for a shore lunch. a whole roasted rock cod for fish tacos could be in order.  :smt004

I will be bringing my gas grill, man dawgs and beer. You will need to bring a chair because we will be tailgating.
