5/1-5/7  year of the spider
usual suspects showed up for a lake county tour with a few visits to mother mendo.
5/1
south Konocti bay/haunts1
5/2
Anderson Island/haunts3   then back to haunts1
5/3
CSBA
5/4
Lake county park to Holiday Cove and back
5/5
Highland Springs res./ Blue Lakes
5/6
Clear Lake state park/Kelsey creek
5/7
Lake Mendo/ c-lake Konocti bay (night fishing)

the bite was tough and we had to work hard for victims. most largemouth were taken slinging soft plastics deep into the cover but we tried just about every bass tactic known to man plus some. purple seemed to be a good color for jigs/plastics. we covered an amazing amount of fishing territory and had a equally amazing adventure.
on our last day we decided to go back to mendo for some wounds to heal and to enjoy the glide.
nabbed 14 stripers, between the 3 of us, and close to that in LM plus 1 non upgrade SM.
we headed back to the lair to prep for some nightfishing and to then experience another C-lake creepshow on the water. after something very big rolled on the surface TWICE in a known area of "sightings" and that being later followed by some type of animal fighting for its life in the shallows that sounded like a rabbit screaming and something big thrashing in the water.
after this and fatigue ,that had become a factor, it was time to get off the water.
I tried to take alot of pictures this year of the haunts and other lake county gems. they tell a much better story.there are alot but we went alot of places and met alot of people.

All of the big fish were photographed with another camera. when I get ahold of these I will post the money shots.
