Just wondering if any NCKAers will be in Moss Landing this wknd for the non-opener of salmon season. Anybody?
The weather gods are teasing us with ridiculously flat seas. It looked like a farm pond in Seaside today. Reeeediculous!
There will certainly be less traffic than years' past....if somebody was considering kayaking out of Moss. Halibut are certainly possible.

The weather is awesome. I drove from Santa Cruz to Carmel Highlands today and it was mostly flat the entire way at 11am. I am going out of SC Friday am to check a pot and drop a few more. I'll pull them on Sunday. I"ll toss a jig and some squid for anything flat on Sunday. I'll give a shout on ch 69 to see if anyone else is kicking around.

I went out this morning (sat)and spent a couple hours paddling and fishing. No one was on the water that I could see, and heard nothing on the radio, not even a radio check (hope my radio is ok).

I dropped some squid down for about an hour, no much going on

The wind picked up a little around 9, so I paddled back in. At least I got my exercise and a little more water experience. If you're going tomorrow, let me know, pm or phone is fine, I'd like to go out again
