I can't go out in the bay until the 29th, at the earliest. But I'd be down to join you then. At Anderson you have a better chance at quantity. But Coyote offers the chance for a big bass. Haven't been to either for a few months though so someone else might have better info.
Good luck!

I need to get a work out before Shelter Cove. I just looked at the Monterey Bay forecast, Saturday looks pretty good. I am thinking of Moss landing for some Dabs in 200' of water or out of the SC harbor & drop some pots for Crab and then head to the hold for Dabs. :smt003

I would go out but I'll be on the Stagnaros Party boat for dabs & macks.  I know I know, not a kayak but I have an excuse.  A buddy and I are bringing the girl friends on their first fishing trip.  I really hope I don't regret this.   :smt009
Good luck and tight lines.

Whats up SC X Factor? so your down to do A little sand dabbing huh?, I dont have A crab pod but I am open to do some sand dabs. Lets hook up. My cousin Monster Guppy would also like to get into the mix so lets talk before tomorrow. The paddle out of Moss will probable be our best bet.

I think I'm heading for Moss landing tomorrow (Sat) morning to look for sand dabs. I'm coming from Oakland so I probably won't get there until 8:30 or so. What time are you guys thinking of launching?

I might head out of Monterey or PG mostly to shake off the rust and scales from my old bones in the interest of (not exactly getting in shape).......I'll say loosening up for Shelter Cove.  I may not even bring a rod, and play with my new ride in the surf, try to pee standing up, practice self rescue, etc.

I just got back from a walk down to the SC Harbor. No wind just a little swell. Last trip out of Moss was decent for Dabs in 200'+. I am considering going out of the SC Harbor so I can drip pots off at the mile bouy and then head to the Soquel hole for Dabbing. I could be talked into Moss if there is enough interest from others. I'm looking at a 7am start time+-. I'll be on 69. Going out to dinner with the wife will check in about 9pm tonight. :smt004

Well, it looks like there's no consensus yet, so I'll proceed with my plan for a late launch from Moss and I'll look for you all on the water, and on ch 69. See you tomorrow.

Newby here

I am itchin to get out. Just got a T160i and all the gear.
I haven't fished from a Yak before and need a little babysitting, but cant' wait.
I was hoping to hook up with Allen B, but ahven't heard from him

The conditions should be great tomorrow.
High 68 deg. 1 to 3 foot swells, and 5 kt wind.

Wish I had the experience to go out with you guys.

I will probably spend some time at Elkhorn to check out the yak and do some photography if I can't get a hook up with Allen

Have a great day.
Stoggie

Stoggie, welcome to the group.  Watch the Boards for I feel everybody is getting ready for Rock Fishing Season.  As I mentioned to Harryls, we go out of the Santa Cruz Harbor and will be glad to teach you everything we don't know.
