The halibut are already here and the PB'ers are doing well at Oyster Pt. Me and the Mrs are going to give it a shot this Saturday if the weather co-operates. Anyone else?  :smt006

OP brings back great memories http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php/topic,780.0.html

I love fishing that spot, so close and it can be so good, plus free bait! Sadly my lineup this weekend includes 2 birthday parties and soccer practice.

Oyster Point, where is that? What do you do? Only been doing this for awhile. Can you help? Sounds like it would be fun to get a Butt, and have for dinner.  :smt044

I'm no expert on butts... but the NCKA articles are always very useful!!!

I have no idea, that's why I was hoping some seasoned NCKA hands would be interested in going this weekend!

Oyster Point Bait and Tackle is supposed to be getting live bait in by the end of this week. If so I will try drifting those. Otherwise I will head to the infamous poop pipe to try and make my own. Failing that I will try chovie popsicles and some sort of flasher. I think.  :smt102

Years ago I use to fish large bagle's diving bang-o-b through there in back of the skiff. I was able to cover a lot of ground doing that. I don't see why this would not work for the yak. I think I have plans with sanddabs this weekend. Please post the results of the trip. I may have to head up that way.  :smt006

Just north of SFO. Directions and a map link are here: http://www.smharbor.com/oysterpoint/index.htm

There are also quite a few reports recently on Coastside.

We will make a "day-of" decision based upon the wind. If the area in front of OP is packed we might head for Sierra Point and the Brisbane tubes. I will be on Ch69 whatever happens. (altho' I might be on Ch69 at Del Valle if the Bay weather is bad!).
