Stay tuned for the next "fish & chill at lake del Valle II"  :smt006

The water is high enough to where we can simply get 3 campsites that are right next to the stream that flows into lake Del Valle. We can launch the kayaks from the stream and head to the lake, fish and then paddle back to the campgrounds. I'll be posting the get together when the water finally clears up. Just keep an eye on the hook-up section!

If there is enough interest, perhaps we can even get another group campsite - also right next to the stream - which is called Wild Turkey  Group Campsite. It's a big area with a nice fire ring and some benches around it. There will be enough space to hold at least  20 to 30 tents. The bathrooms are clean (just like the one's by the launch ramp) and there is a swimming area for kids close by.

Sounds like this might be sooner rather than later and not in late fall like last year.  Maybe in the next month or two?  Definitely interested, if I don't have any conflicts, count me in!!  A campsite next to the stream would be awesome.  Unfortunately, the stream is only seasonal right? :smt009   Sounds like a blast.

I would suggest the Biggining to the middle of April. The creek will still be flowing, the lake will still be full, and everything will be biting! Bass, trout, cats, stripers, and the water will be warm enough for some swimming and self-recovery practice!

Count me IN!

This time the Chillin' part will be hanging around the fire...without the cold rain! :smt005 :smt044

I'd like to do one up at Sonoma also.

Hey Pat - the truth is there was only one person that questioned you. We all know you're a responsible and respectable fisherman / friend!  :smt002 There was no need to debate on that fact :smt001

Finally, finished resizing the pics!  I've been very busy not catching anything again... :smt012
Happy B-day, Pat & congrats for your B-day fish!
Thanks, Mooch for organizing & getting the man-dogs going! :smt041 Thanks, Friddie's six houred Carne (That was super awesome :fat)!  Thanks for the sushi, Hojo!  & nice to meet you Ken & Doug!
My first time DV was pretty awesome w/ the gang!  Ken & Frank gave me tips right away, but I wasn't holding my lips right or something...  I couldn't keep the fish on the hook.  I got double & lost both.  One time, I kept getting hit, so call up Frank & showed it to him, and I lost the fish in front of him... :smt010
I end up with three under sized stripers (released!) & one 13 inch trout (released too).  & thanks Friddie, I used your big net for the 14 inch stripers & 13 inch trout (I was very desperate)... :smt044
here is some pics...

great report guys, way to get after 'em.

ken kickfish, your a true asshole.   :smt097  Way to go on ruining another nice report.  The only overlimit I see in this report is your abuse of alcohol and that keyboard of yours.  I can only hope that you receive the same fate as skygreen.  Banned for life from posting here.  John

One of the best days on the water. The date tells it all for stripers at Del Valle. The post afterwards were pretty interesting too. Almost 5 years ago.
