It was such a nice day we had to get out at the local lake

Well, we could not stand it. We went to a local lake called "Highland Springs Res." Hydrospider (Terry) will know about this place. It does have a few bass, but the water is pretty cold right now. Just some pics of the area, and my favorite partner, my son, Kyle (aka. Livebait)

My folks took their Hobies to Highland Springs a few time last fall. Caught some decent crappie.

 Nice shots Rory. I used to fish Highland springs alot when I first moved up here. A nice "no wake" lake and it has more than a few bass.
Its popular with the bellyboat crowd but a tough place to fish in the winter unless you really know it well. I do not.
But in the warmer seasons it can be a real hotspot for slinging the senko.

Cool report.  There's a fun disc golf course there that I played around 1991.  A disc golf and kayak fishing combo tournee sounds fun!   

Abking I like the way you're thinking.  That is a nice disc course out there.  Disc and yakking would be a good guys weekend.  I'm down.

I am totally down for a discgolf+fishing day/wknd this spring or summer. There are 4 nice courses within 15 minutes of my house. The new one in Monterey is pretty cool too. I played a round today, in fact. Shot a 6 over but its a tough course.

I have Toobed it before. It was in the hot summer and I had a hard time finding anything over 1lb.....but you would get them on every cast!
I've seen a  couple of pics from a float-tube tourney up there in the spring.
He had 2- 10lbrs of of his tube....spring is the call!

Sorry for the thread jack but we should totally play some disc PK. I haven't played much since I screwed up my back but I'm good for a round. I'd love to check out the new course in Monterey.
