I just stumbled on a great deal at Cabelas, in the Bargain Cave. They have the one-piece 7'   10-30lb   2-3.5oz  Shimano Trevala jigging rods for sale at $69 bucks!!!
I just bought one. And a bunch more stuff, including the Cabelas Prodigy casting reel for $59. That'll make a sweet lightweight rockfish setup!
Enjoy,
PK

That is a good deal!
I paid $110? for my last one, which is now at the bottom of the ocean.

My Trevala arrived on Saturday. It looks like the perfect lightweight kayak rockfishing rod! Can't wait to use it. I'll probably use it for deepwater spooning/jigging for bass this winter too.

Since I've decided to go lightweight for all my kayak rockfishing setups, I will be selling a few rods+reels this week. Including a brand new Shimano Torium 20 with a awesome Lamiglas rod. I got this setup thinking it would be great for rockfishing and tuna/wsb. But its just a little bit heavier than I want. This stuff will be posted on here later this week.
Thanks,
PK

I already have the ML version of that rod and thought about getting one, but I ended up getting a Baidarka rod instead.
