For anyone going out for the first time, I'd recommend that for the first 1/2 hr or more that you go and play in the surf without weights and without fins.  Just feel the power of the water.

Then get in with just fins and swim around on the surface.  Try to pull yourself down on some kelp.

Then go out with your weightbelt on...

Hey Spinal Tap, I've got a short memory so I can remember... are you the guy that was out there near Ft. Ross that day Art and I decided to take my kayak for a sunday stroll down the side of the cliff?

Pacifico,

I don't think that was me.  The only time I dove with Art up north was when he first moved to the Bay Area or when he just finished up at Cal.  Even then we never formally met because it was in a big group of guys: Brian I. Dan R...and a bunch of other guys.

Thanks.  I'm not much of a beer drinker, but chili cheese dogs...I'm a connoisseur.

SO...any idea where you're going tomorrow guys? If you're gonna be in the Monterey area, I might sneak out of work to say Hi. Conditions look favorable today, albiet windy.
Saturday's forecast is amazing! Sounds like a typical July day-on-the-bay.

Good Luck!!!

I'm in for saturday, I think Angel is also, Joel will be popping wheelies in Santa Cruz on his new scooter so I think he's out.  I'd like to head further south if anyone wants to pm me with potential launch spots.... :smt002

a few friends and myself area heading to a couple of spots minutes south of carmel we have not been to before to see if they are even divable saturday. if they are not looking good then we'll be heading to carmel to butterfly house or stillwater. if its really calm we'll just do butterfly house to pass on paying to get into stillwater.

maybe we'll see you there!
