Best Surf Movies= "North Shore"
A classic tale of Rick Caine, direct from an Arizona wave pool, heads to the north shore where hooks up with Nia Peoples (once a hot chick), beats Laird Hamilton in a surf contest (his first movie debut) and befriends Turtle (everyone of his lines in the movie is quote worthy) When the wave breaks here, don't be there, or your gonna get drilled.

My old time favorite: "The God must be crazy"!

I love that movie - watched it so many times and still laughed everytime.

No one mentioned the movie Grease that's my favorite just ask FisHunter he loves it too. :smt003

This is a dangerous thread for me,  I was a film major who worked in feature film for about 6 years before moving to Norcal and joining the fire dept.  I could probably list movies for hours on end, but here's a couple that not many people have seen:

The Emerald Forest - based on a true story apparently
City of God  -  Another true story, brazillian film, but amazing
The Lady in White - Spooked me out as a kid
Gleaming the Cube - Ridiculous title for a skateboarding movie (not a good movie, but 80's and funny)

alright, I'll leave it at that for now

city of god is great

city of god is like "lord of the flies" + "goodfellas" combined

a fast paced gangster movie with explosive characters and music to match the pace

another good movie is "amores perros" a bunch of stories combined with a dog as the backstory.

anyone seen "children of men" movie was directed really well and IMO should of got awards .

Step Brothers was a bit silly but still pretty funny.

Last night I watched Stealing Harvard on netflix...favorite line was "I'm hungry, I'm gonna heat up some cheese", he had a block of cheddar cheese in the microwave.   :smt044

Has anyone mentioned Boondock Saints? Great movie!

If you are in the mood for something weird and French, City of Lost Children fits that bill for sure. Pretty cool but I had to watch it like 4 times.

If you like Southern Comfort check out "Ruckus" - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0084611/ kinda like a Rambo lite. Pretty funny and full of 80's cheese.
