I see a new NCKA logo shirt with "Fishin' Brain" on it. Where's our artists?

Great report. Looking forward to the next one.

Ya, definitely get some chest waders bro. Neos aren't really necessary (but they're generally cheaper) because it doesn't get THAT cold around here. I love my breathables. And I totally prefer them over my wetsuit too. The main problem with wearing a wetsuit for 7 hours of kayak fishing....two words....crotch rot! LOL!
Check eBay for waders.

i got the cheapest=hodgeman/breathables at SportsAuthority a few years ago for 69.99(on sale) rinsed after salty and they've sprung no leak yet!(knockin'onwood)  you will overheat in neos, when the sun hits you.(imo)

Question I have is: What happens to you when you hit the water with waders on? I know it sure helped to have a wet-suit on when I flipped over at Coyote Point when I had a pulled muscle, moved back to stretch out a little, and flipped over and in instantly. Just wondering what kind of protection waders give you if you actually go in the water. Wondering, because I have often considered something like waders for the times I don't want to put that tight wet-suit on :-)
