The solar cell is a cool idea. It might help someone with limited mobility. Definitely not for me though.

After the article, there are a few comments.
The absolute best comment is, "as retarded as a solar asshat powering a motorized skateboard"!!!!!! LOL!

Interesting idea but I too will pass on the Solar AssHat (tm) 

Our electric tandem Bobcatboat pirogue goes all day with two people and two batteries, ten miles up river and back.  Paddles well too.   Batteries charge at home for a few pennies.   But, like Michael, I like my Hobie even better.  -Matt

Nice work. I wonder what the range is. I think that the solar cells wouldn't be powerful enough to charge what's being used right away. If it would be possible a solar panel for a bait tank would be cool.
