I know this isn't a fishing report and you can move it if you need to, but I figured more people view this thread than the others...

I have a request for all the Mendo regulars...if you find a Rapala Fat Rap (FR7) about 3" long in a shad pattern hanging on a branch near that tree where everyone was catching their fish during BAM III, please let me know.  That was one of my favorites (about 20 years old) and they don't make them anymore; all the tackle stores I've checked don't have any in stock either...

I caught my PB bass (7lb, 11oz) on that lure.  It looks like this only in natural shad...

KickinBass mentioned that someone found a Rapala up there -- was it this one?

Thanks,

Gordon

Mooch, I don't care what everybody says about you -- you're a nice guy!  :smt002

BTW, I caught about a 4# LMB at BAM on that lure about 30 minutes before I got snagged up...

I'd get sentimental too every time I lost a $7.00 lure, or in this case, a $30 lure that was also productive.

Gordon... I know someone found a lure on shore, but I know for sure it wasn't the same as yours.

If you take that picture to John Walton at Walton's Pond in San Leandro, he can probably order it for you.  He has a order catalog with pictures for discontinued Rapalas.

ChuckE...

Gordon mentioned that the lure "It looks like this only in natural shad..."

Was the lure that was found in "natural shad"?

Nope... plus it couldn't be Gordon's since Freddie found it snagged on his anchor rope near shore.
