I’m interested in joining in this year. I think Mabel and I need a sponsor. She’s usually well-behaved, but can whine like a bitch. Myself on the other hand- well I’m 1/4 Irish-so there’s that.

Glad to see the enthusiasm, fellas.   :smt001

I still have a little legwork to do before I can show this year's gear configuration, and I'm considering doing caps again...  TBD soon.

I'll pull a Tourney Director Prerogative here:  Any and all past winners of AOTY are welcome to join in this event with no sponsorship requirement.   :smt004

I'm stoked to see the responses!  I've got the roster started and will update as I build.

I'm really excited this year to put the Gyotaku fish printing back on Saturday/tourney day.  I've got the campground patio and pavilion for that day from 2PM until 8PM, so 2 to 5 will be fish printing, and 5 to 8 will be the potluck, awards and raffle.

Tonight I attended a 'Science on Tap' event up at Paskenta Mad River Brewing where the presenters were sharing Klamath dam removal information.  It was a great event, and I saw lots of fish-head friends.  One of the speakers, Max, told me he's looking forward to attending GS again, and we chatted for a minute about what makes the event special.  That meant the world to me, and I'm so glad he's coming.

The buildup for the event isn't anything like it used to be in this post, but the energy is there.   :smt007

I will share more soon.  Thank you for participating on whatever level you are down for.   :smt001

Thanks a bunch for doing this again, I love this event and now have something to look forward to, to get through winter  :smt001 :smt003
Also thank you for not doing this on Mother's day, as my better half will now be able to attend  :smt007

I hope Jack's taco shack will be there again, I would be happy to whip up a big batch of fisheducator's crema sauce  :chef:

Things are pretty iffy for my attendance right now. My eldest daughter is receiving her PHD in mathematics in Denver on May 17th. I am supposed to be there but i would much rather be fishing with my bros in shelter cove. Formal ceremonial stuff isn't my jam. That said, it is more likely that I will be in Denver that weekend.
