Captain Jake got back to me to let me know that we raised just over $2300 for Shelter Cove Fishing Preservation Inc., and he also let me know that he and Mason had a great time.   :smt001

Had a great time at my return to the amazing Gimme Shelter XIX!!
It's been years since my last time and I'm so glad Eric is putting on the event again, it's a huge amount of work and dedication it takes and I as well as many others are very grateful for it all. Many thanks to you!
Seeing familiar faces I haven't seen in years and rekindling those relationships is what it's all about and makes me excited to see and fish with everyone again.
The fishing conditions were not ideal for the entire weekend but Chris and I along with many others put in the time and gave it a whirl in the white capped steep swell for 3 days in a row. Luckily on tournament day Chris and I headed South to a new to us reef we had scouted a couple days earlier and were able to work it hard and catch some decent rockfish and lingcod, taking home a 3rd place finish for Chris and myself 1st place Angler of The Day with a 31" lingcod and 20" Black. The beautiful handmade Redwood trough and giant 10" Abalone are going to be a wonderful reminder every time I look at them. Looking forward to next year and also meeting up with friends for more good times this summer. Thanks again Eric, truly appreciate all your dedication and hard work!

Wow what a great event hosted by Eric. Thank you Eric for bringing the GIMMIE BACK! My father and son had a great time and really enjoyed seeing the Cove for the first time. It's been quite awhile for me as well but it was great being back on a kayak, in the salt, especially at Shelter Cove. Big thanks to Steve and Brian for helping my dad and I with the Taco Shack. It went pretty good overall and thank you to everyone who offered to help and donated and contributed to making it happen. Tim's Fish educator crema sauce was the Bomb! Big congrats to Matt for taking and winning AOTD. No surprise but well earned brotha. I was lil bummed I couldn't get my son on the kayak this weekend but he had fun on land and making a Kool octopus shirt and won a awesome gaff in the raffle. I really enjoyed seeing old faces and meeting new ones and had a really great time. Looking forward to getting back out there to any hookup or event this year.

The amount of monster Greenling out there and ~25" ling were CRAZY.

Here are a big boy and girl combo, I caught mostly boys and this one big girl. They must be spawning and protective right now.

THEY WERE BITING METAL JIGS, idk how the assist hooks were catching these things lol.

Wow, those are hefty greenlings! Nice work. I’d have been tempted to use one as Ling Candy to try to get Lingzilla. I sure missed being there.
