Hi everyone, i am still alive :)
Someone told me before i left port townsend Washington state for this journey, they call this area which i go as “Graveyard of Pacific” , now i know the good reason.

This area the weather is almost unable predict, when the data in forecast page saying 15 mph, it maybe 40 mph actually, no wonder the team from canada navy told me once: something need to multiple by 2-3 times for real wind strength. That time i really unbelievable how it can be? Now I totally believe, today weather is around 12 mph in windy app, but actually i feel its reach to 35 mph or even more, i can feel the sail mast is shaking , and the rope making “woo, woo….” This scary sound, and most of time 1/3 my kayak underwater , some huge wave even cover my body. My glass got blur and some water inside my eyes, but i even no hand to clean it, only blinking my eyes as quick as possible to let me see the surroundings situation. it just change in few minute, and that time i was in the center of johnson strait, i almost got capsized but luckily I escaped

Oops, oops!!

And why they didn’t multiply 3 times based on they forecast, then put in the website as real wind strength?

Hi smith, tried couple times, but so far no luck, maybe I didn’t find the right spot.

He's approaching Bella Bella waypoint and should be there this afternoon. That's like SF to San Diego in distance.

Wow!

It's hard for me to imagine living on a Hobie Island for 2 days, let alone 12 days in those conditions...

Thoughts meander like a restless wind

12 days no bed!!!? How do you even do that?  The winds look favorable from Bella Bella.  There are stretches of open ocean ahead.  Wow, just filled with awe and admiration.

It looks like Mr. X was able to pass up the single-hull Outtaspace in the shallow passage that they might have had to wait on a high tide to make it through. Although it looks like the 3 boats are almost teaming up to stick close. Looks like some headwinds in the forecast until Friday when the wind will switch direction towards the finish line for several days.
