Anybody got any experience repairing the rubber line in the Hobie Adventure?   My 2015 Adventure has a finicky rudder.  After a small amount of trouble shooting, I was able get it to be able to steer well, but the rudder wont deploy or stow without assistance. Not sure If it would be easier to replace the entire line system, or adjust the existing line.  Its so difficult to see inside the hull (let alone reach in and adjust) that I cant even asses what is wrong?  Im more than willing, even prefer, to just have someone fix it for me.  Any leads?

I would try to wiggle the rudder control back & forth (left & right) while pulling the rudder up/down cord, to get it to work. If the rudder control is all the way left or right, it has trouble going up or down. ;-)

Cool Ill try that, thanks Pat.  I was hesitant to do too much at GS and break it more LOL.   I just called on my friends for assistance.

My old 2014 Revo had a narrow window where I had to have the rudder control positioned to lower the rudder. Never had a problem raising it. You'll figure out what works for yours.

Cheers,
Brad

This works on my 2011 Adventure until the line broke!

at the rear hatch, on both left and right sides, your lines housed in tubes and tucked up under in a pad eye.  I've seen them just be criss crossed as they are bundeled in there, and easily you can pull them out and put them in one by one again and feel the lines working properly again.  Or if you had some line replaced at some point, it could have been wrapped around another when replaced and need to be re-routed.  I've resorted to taking video with my phone to look up under there and figure things out.

The problem is I can't reach the up/down control lever from either the center or back hatch to re-install it back after replacing the lines!

Even though this document is for Revo 13, it may be helpful

Thanks Dan.  Will try to follow the instructions in this document.
