Just curious, how do you plan on addressing the "hot pot" issue? Zinc? Soda can? Or not worry about it?  Btw, I agree with others, looks nice!

By just wrapping the rebar in some rubber, they can ground still. by coating them I would inhibit that.

Thanks Christian  :smt006

no problem! These traps going to $120+ overnight made me sick lol- couldn't invest like that already owning 7 traditional traps that are now worth nothing..

I built a ring roller last night (needs a handle still) and am going to see how it does bending the rebar hoops.. the first ones I did by hand lol

Dude, it took me +2 hours to hand build one trap. I would gladly pay you $40 for one of yours. Are you going to go to production soon? Looking to get 3 more.

This is the kayakers/small boaters equivalent of buying locally made crab snares for the beach/jetty guys....

I will send you a DM. It really depends on how many I can actually make realistically plus I don't have a pipe rack on my truck so moving 20' sticks of rebar is a PITA.   that's the biggest hurdle is those damn 20' sticks

It would be an interesting experiment to drop a coated alongside an uncoated and see if there is a difference. Given that uncoated rebar has long been used as a method of adding weight, I doubt there's a difference.

Already out of stock for ship to store and limited stock in store... so probably "until tomorrow morning" for how long it will last, heh.

I'm wondering how many of these recently purchased ambush pots will flood craigslist once box traps are allowed again?

The ring roller really made this a breeze. 20 foot stick (plus a another yard or so) to trap in 1 hour
