Meclizine and zofran. Meclizine for dizzy, and zofran for nausea.
I only fish on days that end with Y

I tried different meds and hated them.
No beer the night before, poop first thing when up and no breakfast is my ticket to no sickness. Your smell might vary.

I can be out in the ocean sea kayaking and not have any issues with sea sickness. But the moment I am out there fishing and need to change my rigging, I start to feel icky. It seems to be OK if I look down for a few seconds, but more than 30 seconds and it sets it off.

The thing about sea sickness is that once it starts, its really tough to make it go away. I find that the ginger candy helps a lot, as well as having my rigging ready so I am not looking down for long. I keep my eyes on the horizon and not on my pole, which is difficult!

Not sure what works best - like many have said here, it really depends on each person.

A die hard fisherman I know  has always had power boats and fished in Shelter Cove, Eureka and Oregon. He takes pictures of his friends puking on his boat like the projectile vomit ones and gives them a doormat with the picture on it for Christmas. I think the shame factor cures future seasickness.

I go out on calm days and never get sick.
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

I'm also very prone to sea-sickness. Have been known to chum the water even on flat days when I was younger. It's funny, but the older I get, the less prone to sea-sickness I am. Or maybe I'm finally getting sea-legs? My checklist for going out:

a) avoid liquor and coffee/caffeine
b) stick to a starchy, non-greasy breakfast
c) drink plenty of water
d) take the dramamine the night before and an hour before launch
e) pre-tie everything....and I mean EVERYTHING! I usually go out with at least 2 dozen pre-tied rigs that I store in a custom PVC rig holder...

I also recently got one of the portable handheld spray fans, and that seems to help when I start to get queasy:
