Local weathercasters on TV are calling for temps to drop into the teens inland and mid 20s on the coast. Not good.

PS...I've gained more lbs than my wife in the 17 weeks she's been pregnant. I keep telling her (and friends) that I'm gaining sympathy weight so when she looks in the mirror in 2 months and says, "I'm so fat..." I can say, "Yeeaaahhh...me too." That way, she won't feel as big, proportionately.

Man there are lots of NCKAers with prego wives and new borns.  While that is a very special and exciting time, I am glad my kid is 10 years old.  Do not get me wrong, it is all great but they become much more interesting and interactive as they grow up.  Also fewer gross messes to clean up.

It is hard to keep the sympathy weight off, she just demands piles of food and it'd be impolite to make her eat alone...  Mine gained 70lbs on the first pregnancy so I had no danger of beating her. For a while she was bigger than me.  I'm surprised the doctor didn't chew her a new one, I was afraid she'd have a coronary gaining 60% in a matter of months.  She did manage to shed most of it just before this pregnancy, I'm being less cooperative about fetching food this time...

Oh, it's a boy!  I'm batting 1000.  ;)  Thats great because we can re-use all of Eric's old stuff.  My wife and I are stoked since neither of us would know what to do with a girl (she won fantasy football this year in a competitive league...).
The legend lives on from the Chippewa on down
Of the big lake they call Gitche Gumee
Superior, they said, never gives up her dead
When the gales of November come early.
