Great ending. It's great how social media can be so useful for things like this. Hopefully it was meant to be your your buddy and it's a lucky fish attracting kayak.

This should get sent to the "Gil Gross" show on 910 AM. He does a hilarious review of stuff like this called "Stupid Criminals". This is exactly the stuff he shares!!  That fool must have been reciting the Jedi mind trick, over and over in his head, "This is not the Kayak your looking for". Then waved his hand in a holy way.
" If work is for people who don't fish, then Welfare is for people who won't fish".

I am interested to see what the penalty will be.
On one hand I like seeing old school justice take place, but on the other hand, with my luck, it would be some guy who just bought it off CL.  :smt044

The DA will dream up a light penalty. That way the county doesn't pay 5000. to take this a trial. And the yak isn't worth much. Maybe in a few months the thief needs to meet some people wearing white sheets and hoods they can be guests of honor at the next meeting.

Sounds like the gal that got that picture needs to get a dinner or at least a lunch for her efforts in getting the yak recovered!  Good on her! :smt006
We can only hope that any future thief's are this e-fin STUPID!  Glad he was! :smt044
Darwinism at it s finest.
:smt044 The thief was probably really proud of the fact he initially got away with the caper!  What a surprise it had to have been when the police knocked on his door and slapped bracelets on!   That would have been priceless to watch! :smt044
