Sorry surfingmarmot, I don't have my VHF yet. My pockets are drained after putting in my ff but it's next on the list. I should be in the parking lot packing up by the time you get there. If you look at my past post with the map you can see where I'll be. Stop by if you have the time and I'll give ya all the 411 I got.

Just have to wait and see what its like there--it might be fine or epic--25 kt gusts can rip a paddle out of your hands.  :smt013

Weather is as good as it gets at OP right now.  Just talked to chuck.  Hopefully you will get some good fishing in before the wind.  By the way he didn't catch anything.

just got an update (as of 2:30PM) from ChuckE and SteveS....they covered 10 miles of trolling from OP to the Brisbane Tubes for nothing. The water conditions are "FAC" = Flat Ass Calm  :smt002

I think I'll pass on this trip since Chuck and Steve made every effort to find 'em. Hopefully the stripers will turn up somewhere soon!

thanks to Chuck and Steve for the intel and the recon  :smt023

Chuck, Steve: thanks for the recon of the AO. Too bad you didn't find any friendlys. Those pesky line-sides have to be somewhere  :smt013  If this continues, my first chance at a Striper this year will be Bendo II unless San Luis calms down before that weekend.

Good luck to all who are going to Elk. Looking forward to the reports and hope to do it next year.
