Do you switch to regular hooks?

yes - I replace the rear hook with a single bucktail hook.

What about the front hook? leave alone or take off?

Great. Thanks. Probably don't have time to do it for tomorrow--but will for the future. I am sure it reduces tangles in the tackle boxes, in the water, and in the net let alone minimizing damage for a C&R fish.

Net? what net? Just lip grip 'em....

I strickly use 1/2 hair raisers at the tubes but will try some rebels and xraps from time to time.  I will be launching near Tsing Tao no matter what.

Last minute change for me but I am out for Wed.  My son has come down with the flu.  My Sisters who was going to watch Aiden has sick kids too.  My mother in law who is my backup has another sick grandkid. Depending on his health I may take him out for drive and check out the action.

Regarding nets: don't even own one except for Trout fly fishing in streams, just talking generally about things trebles tangle with. I use a boga almost all the time for everything unless I 'lip-grip' them. I think it was Bill who I saw somewhere mentioned nets when talking about his Smithwick Rogue and why he removes the front treble hook so I just passed that on.

Status: iffy for me now--late afternoon meeting jeopardizes me getting up there from SJ in time to fish, but I am still hoping to get out of it. Fingers crossed--got to be on the road at 1630 or getthere really late due to traffic. Man, weekdays are tough to get away.

Weather forecast: 10-20 knot winds gusting to 25 knots in the afternoon. Should be great for wind surfers and annoying for us, but still doable. It is forecastto get progressively worse later this week and weekend. So this might be the best chance to get some unless the schools stays a few more weeks.

Hope you are still there when we get there at 1730. I'll check on channel 69 to get the scoop. You have a VHF right?
