I am currently using an Olympus tough. It sometimes takes great pics, sometimes not. I'm actually OK with that as I take several shots at a time so usually get one good one. It is indeed a tough camera as I've dropped a few times & it keeps on working.
My main problem with it is the @#$! iB program from Olympus.

I would try a Pentax if I were in the market for a pocket camera.

I own both the Pentax and Go Pro 2.  I use the Pentax 99.5% of the time. I only fish and don't dive.

I bought and returned it back to Costco.  Takes awful pictures.  I now use a Pentax Optio WG-1 14MP and absolutely love it.
Costco has a no question ask return policy.

+1 on the Pentax. Go Pro are nice but for shooting pics I love the pentax. Just wish someone would not have stilen mine. Been looking to upgrade to the ones with the GPS in order to see how accurate it is. There are some great deals on the wg-2 if you hunt around and there is a wg-1 that has gps so make sure you can tell the difference between the non gps when price checking.Plus i love the color they use:

They have that same camera with a strap and memory card for 119. been thinking of having it as a back up I am sure all the cameras have issues I have a Olympus tough now and like it but some times will take a cruddy blurry pic.

Would like to get multiple cameras rolling so might get a go pro soon just do not like the not seeing what you just taped would like to know that the camera is pointed on the right things.

Sledge uses the same camera, and somehow takes decent pics  :smt044  We actually bought him one last year, after he lost his original (that we also gave him as a gift  :smt005)  It acutally does some pretty good video, minus the sound.  They made a few improvements to the battery latch and the software on the camera.  It's not as slooooow as it used to be, but still not as good as my Pentax Optio W80 which I love!  Had an Olymus Tough 1030sw and I hated it.  Crappy pictures, almost always needed to lighten them up or do other tweaks to make the pictures look decent.
