MBK Kayaking Classes this Sunday 4-22

Looks likes swimming pool conditions for the surf zone class.  My grandmother can do that.  Nowhere close to real situations.

Just my 2 cents. 

Understand and appreciate your 2 cents.

But I need to be able to walk before I can run.

Besides with the WX and my schedule and theirs and my timeline it's too difficult to plan.


I'm sure re guardless I will take away valuable information.

A few suggestions to ask the instructor: Practice self rescue, timing sets during launch and re-entry and bracing.
When I did my class these were the most valuable lessons I learned.  You probably can't try bracing in those conditions, this technique has saved me from numerous yard sales.

Idaho will be joining me on Sunday and we will be carpooling to MBK.

So we have our 2 minimum kayakers. Others still welcome to join us.

The class yesterday was definitely worth my time and money. I would highly recommend it to anyone that wants or needs to hone their skills on the ocean. We did practice among other things self rescue, timing sets during launch and re-entry and bracing. The waves were on the smaller side but were big enough for me as a beginner and I feel that I took away a lot from the experience.

Got to meet a couple other NCKA members and spend a beautiful day OTW.
Kudos to our instructor Mat Hoff with MBK who did an excellent job on instruction.

Definitely a day well spent. The surfing was the best, and the instruction was first-rate.

Thanks for getting this together, Antonio. We'll get out there sometime and kill some fish. It was great to learn that you aren't an axe murderer as well.

Also, it was great meeting Perry. Let me know when get out on the water.
