Good idea Ed. I have enabled the uploading of Google Map locations. If you let me know what the extension(s) of these files are I can enable the upload of those as well.

Bill, I will mess with some different programs and try and figure out the best way to transfer the data across all the GPSs and give you the file format. Unless there is someone else who has a recommendation.

Bill,

I realize this idea is a bit late.. but I thought it might be nice to have a forum for ichthyology (fish biology)  and general biology/ecology.  I think my favorite posts to reply to are the ones relating to topics that I have some expertise in and I know of at least two others (ahmmm Sean and Jim) out there that could help out. Basically it could be some sort of "ask a scientist" forum.

It would be a great place to post pictures of that mystery fish you caught.  Or maybe you want to know the difference between a Canary an Vermilion rockfish.  Maybe some people have more general questions like, do some rockfish really eat jellyfish? etc...  are cabezon eggs poisonous?  If the forum is a bit slow I'll do my best to write a fish of the week/month post.

If you are up for moderating it I would be happy to set it up.

Sure Bill, I'd be happy to act as posting overlord ( I mean moderator) for the forum if you set it up.
