Hey Nudling, are thoes snails good?  I've get them in my traps every now and then and have always threw them back.

There's a report on another site of somebody getting limits of dungies and 30 large coonstripes in HMB in 200ft w/catfood & squid.

200 feet??  how far out do you have to paddle/peddle to get out to 200' ?

200' at HMB would be one hell of a paddle.  I'd be down on a day with really good conditions.  I'm gonna start keeping those snails!  Do you just pull them out of their shell after cooking them and eat everything you pull out?

pretty much... make sure to take out the thin shellplate that covers the bottom meat part of the snail.  sorry, I don't know the technical name.  It's like a very thin semi-transparent shell covering.

I dip it in hot sauce, and is a perfect compliment to vodka or soju (Korean liquor, 40 proof).  delicious.

So is there a certain time of year that is better for shrimping than others? Is there a time when they are in shallower waters? I wanna go shrimpin' too. Unlike the fish, i might actually be able to outsmart a shrimp.
