muthascratcha!!!  I just got the most annoying call from some a-hole.  Seems like they booked all inventory as sold prior to my placing my order, yet they took my order anyway.  I'm not sure how I feel about that from a legal standpoint (offer, accepted offer, exchanged $$ = delivery obligation)...

if I get bored on the caltrain this pm, i might have to draft a bigfoot letter

this a-hole was like, "we can substitute your order for a curado 200 if you pay an additional $30."  He continued, "let me check something and I'll call you back.  Can I have your number?"  I was all, "WTF, didn't you just call me?"  A real rocket scientist, lol.        

Ain't no substitute when you have to cough up additional dough.  i feel like i done been had, hoodwinked, bamboozled, run amok . . . playing with my money and fishing gear is like playing with my emotions.  I ordered it yesterday, btw.

Sorry to jump on your eponymous bandwagon, Randall.  One of my law school profs (at the time, the GC at epinions.com) referred to a demand letter as a "Bigfoot letter" b/c it was big and hairy, threatened all kinds of nasty stuff, and came out of nowhere.  The phrase stuck.

Lord help this vendor if its running a manual inventory!  The VM I got from "the rocket scientist" stated that "they've refunded your money and consider the matter closed.  Thank you..."  How righteous would it be if they sent the reel anyway?  I'd be happy to pay for it (again).  True, I could've "saved" $100 over the MSRP by buying at the sale price.  But by not buying the reel at all, I saved $139.99.  So i'm over it for real now.  No bigfoot letter forthcoming

Your bait and switch post about forwarding a big foot letter led me to believe that in this big cruel corporate world....the little guy might actually stand a chance in the big game of stick it to the man.  Your retraction of said bigfoot letter has dashed my hopes, which as you know, are very closely tied to emotions. Thus...your shenanigans have played with my emotions.  Compounding matters is the public embarassment I endured post bamboozlement, from which there is no recovery. I have already run amok in the office, as of this AM: I have used the last ream of paper in the copier without refilling the tray, left a dirty cofee mug in the break room sink.......and I lifted a stapler.  Such are the consequences when you choose to hoodwink the innocent.


I fully expect a retractaction of your retraction.
