Good point, Bird.  NWS sometimes looks like amatuer-hour when it all pans out!

Meh, it figures....I've been saving WAF for Saturday's crab opener (I haven't been out for weeks). I'll probably still go out in Monterey, Moss, or SC. Just to get the routine down, at least. Haven't crabbed from my yak yet, so it m/b good practice. My magical marine forecast ball says 5-8ft NW inside Mbay, and that ain't too bad. Then again, magic is sometimes unpredictable.

So much for the crab opener.  Crabbing in the bay it is.

That is one ugly graphic.

MOE @ midnight this Friday - you should join Dom and I, Crashman.   :smt004

Thanks for the invite but I need to pass, as that is just way outside my comfort range.  I've been out at crab park a number of times but never on a kayak.  I'm new to kayaking and still working on my kayak skills, so first ever kayak crabbing trip, starting 2 hours after I am normally asleep, with rain forecast  and a 30+ ft swell on an incoming tide = crash will wait for the 8:30am-2:40pm incoming tide in the bay, although I may head out to MOE at first light to check it out.
