martin, did you consider staples or fred?  i want to do all three of those lakes but hard to find the time for them.

LMAO!  I love how you guys mix up the names of the lakes!
Martin, the one picture you took is of a private cabin, KC is more towards the boat launch area, the first cove to the left out of the launch area is where the KC cabins start.
I was at ICR on Saturday in my Hobie Pro Angler, I screwed up as I did not do a check on my yak before I threw it in the water.  ended up having to do right turns all day as my rudder needs adjusting and it would not turn at all to the left.  CnR'ed lots of dinks all day.  I was the only yak but lots of fly fishermen in tubes.
Where did you guys end up staying at Martin?
you can't let cold temps stop you from heading up the hill!  some of the best fishing I have ever had was in snow storms!
the arrival of cold temps in the fall gets the bite red hot in those high country lakes!  FWIW, the lake you guys were in is a lot easier to launch compared to Staples, the launch at Staples is closed for the season and you will have to drag your gear over the rocks.  there is a new public ramp due to open in spring of 2010 at Staples, it is on the east side of the lake in deeper water than the present launch at the resort.
