I didn't read about any whining in this thread. I think I'm with Sean...hope to get a 4x4 next, even if it isn't the solution for all situations.

Sean, You really know how to pack a load of Family Fun in a weekend. Last year you won AOTY. This year you are clearly leading the FOTY =Family of the Year!

Kinda funny but I never got stuck in baja either in the same truck.  But towing a trailer is when it seems to get buried. I could have aired down, but it wouldn't have helped this time, we were to the frame in sugar sand.  I bought the truck when I had a long commute, now my commute is 4 miles, and many days I just ride my bike.  I would love to have a 4wd...someday!

hey, if you do get stuck in baja, just wait for the sentra to come by!

I remember being camped somewhere in the middle of nowhere down there, a guy walks up to me, asks if I have a 'bomba', I was like hmmm, what the heck is that, he wants a bomb!?!? Well, a bomba is a bicycle pump...  :smt005 and sure enough I actually had one (although it would have taken three days to pump up one of my 75r15 all-terrain TAs by hand..) ! I give it to him and he walks off into the sunset through the desert. 3 hours later, a sentra loaded down with 4 guys comes by in the dark and they drop off the pump and drive off into the night

well with a trailer you are a 6x4 so kinda sounds like you are due for a 4x4, :-)

seems like you are due a new 4x4, :-).

Of all of your great fish reports Sean I have to say my fav's are the one where you're passing it on to the next generation. Your kids are blessed to have a dad like you and will turn out great because of it. It's inspiring for all of us with little shavers coming up in the world and looking for adventure with their old man! The big K is a magical place.

Sean, keep it up.  I'm taking notes... just a few years behind you.   Nice to see your plan executed just like you drew it up.  (Secretly, I think you're just trying to win that  WON photo contest again so you can get another gratis trip to AK).

I can't tell you how Paiges smiles brighten my day...  that kid is something else...  you, too, Pop.

If Schoolie and Cochino ever end up together they will have kids with crazy fishing superpowers.
