Hi Eric,

We're heading out in a bit to make a weekend of it. I just now realized that the directions you posted go to the town of Bass Lake on the other side of the lake. I sent these directions to my sons which will get you the Lupine Camp Grounds, I hope :smt002 ), about 2-3 miles from the boat launch I'm told. This is not the shortest route, but I'm pulling a 5th wheel, so it was chosen for the least amount of curves.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
If for some reason you need an address the campground offices are at:

39900 Road 222

Slight left at N I St   0.2 mi

Take the 1st left onto W 4th St 0.2 mi

Take the 2nd right onto N Gateway Dr       0.2 mi

Take the 1st left onto CA-145/E Yosemite Ave

Continue to follow CA-145   15.7 mi

Turn left at CA-41      29.7 mi

Turn right at Rd 222      0.3 mi

Take the 2nd right onto Rd 220  0.4 mi

Turn right at Rd 222    3.1 mi

Turn right to stay on Rd 222    3.8 mi

and be careful driving up highway 41!  i just read an article in the fresno bee about that road on wednesday and how dangerous it is. something like 40+ people have been killed on the road since 2000 or something - mostly because of speeders who cross the middle lane.

Sorry for the bad directions - we will be launching at the SouthWest end of the lake at the Main Ramp near the dam.

Ben,
The section of road that had the trouble has been rebuilt and is closer to Fresno.
It has since been rebuilt and they have also added a few lights.

See you Sunday,
Eric
