The only one I've had with a name was "Old Blue."  I think Mooch named it.

I can't say I have one for it, but I guess I'd call it "Waive Time", which in my former working (what's that?) life meant I could take all the time I wanted on something (but sometimes it meant "we'll get around to it someday", which would be sad thing to say about fishing).

The orange one, the blue one, and the sunrise one.

Or, more appropriately - The T13, The T15, and The Prowler.

Very funny, Tote and CGN! I've always liked old ladies names myself, I have a '67 Olds Cutlass named Ethel. My kayak is named Madge or sometimes when dwarfed around longer boats I refer to it as "Junior Version" due to the fact that it's only eight feet long.

Though I am not superstitious, a friend once said "It's bad luck to sail an un-named ship!" I quickly thought of Hank (how original) since its the Hank Parker edition Outback I have.  Wish I got the Danglin edition =)

Then I got the T13 and wanted to name it right away, and came up with a decent one.  But then I sold it, and got a T15 and I didn't name it, and sent back to the dealer.  Maybe that's the problem!  :smt044  Should have named it!

An example of no imagination:  "the 160" and "the XT."

Although I'm a little more creative on the Spectrum boat someone gave me:  "the piece of S*#t."  That boat is incredible in it's badness.  Almost not even worth having for free.

Still waiting for NB to respond. Because I think his boat's name is a contender for "Best Kayak Name."

I really like this thread. I have a big game prowler I named YAK-O-MARU. I first started kayak fishing in Hawaii and alto of the boats over there are named with MARU as the end of the name. Its a Japanese tradition. MARU was the celestial being who showed man how to build boats. So its considered lucky to end the boat name with MARU.

I seem to have a red theme:

First it was the Red 69 Mustang (wish I still had it)  Appropriately named "Rustang"

then there was the little red roach (88 Honda Civic)

Now there is the Big Red barge
