Having owned and sold both, not really.  The Escape and Explorer have very high seat pans and the resulting COG that make these little rascals very tippy if you venture into the secondary stability.  Jelly paddled one for ages and slayed the fish on it though.

I assume that they aren't identical as far as being tippy, but I meant more as in - the smaller skinny boats in general will be more tippy than say, the maurauder or any other wide long yak...... (for the most part)... not trying to lump them in :)  And again, I'm a novice, so ... I'm not disagreeing ;) Just relative comparison... for the most part.
